About this corner:
. A tavern and a prison sat at the corner where the men are standing. To the left of them 20 yards away is Colonel Washington's Blacksmith Shop. Un-related to this time, but also on that corner was the girl who spied for Sheridan giving observations on paper to a black man. Not to mention Stonewall Jackson's headquarters a block away on Braddock Street. Or to the right of this picture on the same Fairfax Lane on the corner of Camerson, Dolly Madison stayed over night before her wedding to James. Oh there's more to this corner.
