Davy Crockett's Dad born in Frederick Co VA

Davy Crockett's Dad? He was born in Frederick County VA in 1753, the year George Washington bought property in Winchester VA.

In 1768 Davy Crockett's Dad moved to North Carolina. Everybody did. Taxes. Restrictions. Big Mo down to the Yadkin Valley.

Then in 1780, Davy's Dad moved to the State of Franklin, intended to be the 14th state. North Carolina ceded it to Congress to pay its debt to the federal govt, but Congress did not act on this. North Carolina took the land back but the State of Franklin continued to operate.

Davy Crockett was born in the State of Franklin 1786.
